The Negley Awards are a series of cash grants presented annually to provider organizations who demonstrate excellence in risk management practices. To be eligible, applicants must be a MHRRG shareholder or a member of MHCA or NCCBH.

The Negley Awards were established in 1990 by Negley Associates, Inc., underwriting managers for the Mental Health Risk Retention Group. They recognize outstanding achievements in risk management by community mental health centers and offer the opportunity to expand services otherwise not available. In addition, winners share their risk management strategies with the mental health community. The winning community mental health centers will be selected from the applicants by the MHRRG Board of Directors.

There are three awards available. The first is the President's Award valued at $15,000. The second is the Chairman's Award valued at $7,500. The Board of Director's Award is valued at $7,500. In addition, travel expenses not to exceed $1500 will be paid to each finalist company on receipt of expense statement.
